I had no idea that I was (am) a victim of the Registerfly scandal until today. In fact, I had no idea there WAS a Registerfly scandal…sigh… http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Registerfly.com

Apparently ICANN has shut these guys down for unlawful practices. There may also be a class action lawsuit in Florida but the attorney general needs more folks to write in and complain.

Meanwhile, I’ve got to figure out how to get auth codes for the domains I bought over holiday break and also how to block any future charges on my credit card from these jokers. It’s gonna be tough since their website has been shut down…oh joy.

We weren’t the only ones who lost out here- the Thai government, Easter Seals AND Michael Jackson all had names registered through this company…in fact Registerfly held over 900,000 names.
