sorry for the radio silence lately but the end of the semester wrap-up and extended hours at the ‘liberry’ have been INSANE and now I’m away at SOLINET and won’t get home until late friday.

Geesh- what a flippin’ crazy three weeks it’s been- school started with a BANG! and it’s been “off to the races” ever since. I ab. LOVE my new job and know I’ll enjoy it even more when I finally get my sea-legs- still SO much to learn, but it’s oh-so-good… :)
Tonight, Tim has a wedding gig in St. Augustine with Gosia and Ali so I took the new laptop to the “Harbucks” near our casa and spent a few hours there catching up on my writing and stuff. I know most people think of it as the “evil empire” and I sometimes feel guilty going, but dammit- everyone who works at our local shop is so nice- they’ve got a really good crew in there right now and it’s a pleasure to drop in and hang out- plus it’s within walking distance (even tho I drove the foxy-fox tonight). :)
Tim-tim comes home tonight. He’s been gone since last Tuesday so I can’t wait to see him. I talked to him last night to confirm flight stuff and the poor boy has a cold. I think he’s gonna need a vacation from his vacation!

Well, I take full credit for the Gators chomping the living daylights out of Ohio State last night. I believe that by not watching the game, I removed any possibility of jinxing UF from winning (although I did take a quick peek at the score online right before bed but that doesn’t count). Don’t you think I should get just a little slice of Meyer’s $150,000 bonus? ;)

Well, after much gnashing of teeth and 10 lame attempts, I finally figured out how to install WordPress to the server and then ended up spending even more time trying to decide on a layout design and way more time than that, browsing all the little “toys” that you can add to your site (note the Flickr feed at the bottom right- whee!). I’m still not all that satisfied with the colors and stuff but I should just hush up and be glad it’s workin’!
I must thank C. Bradley Dilger big-big for helping me get this puppy up and running- I don’t think I would’ve had the guts to even attempt it without his encouragement and reassurance that it wasn’t going to be all that hard to load. You can just call him the blog-whisperer. ;)
Anyways, I’m gonna try to wrangle all my miscellaneous blogs-n-stuff to this site over the next few weeks and see how it goes. Suppose this was as good a new year’s resolution as any.
